The Cedric and Lula Mays Foundation states that you can tell a tree by the fruit it bears. Our tree bears witness to making a difference in the lives of young people through our momentary support of their academic dreams and endeavors. As our tree continues to mature and bear fruit we will continue to spread our seeds of support to other areas as well.
With your support we ask that you help us to help others through a contribution made to our foundation.

Cedric and Lula Mays

About Us

The Cedric and Lula Mays Foundation is a private, independent grant making organization established for the purpose of providing limited monetary assistance to young people. Recipients of funding must demonstrate well thought-out life dreams, evidence of successfully working toward those dreams, and a need for funding to reach their goals.  The mission statement, “to support and demonstrate integrity by empowering and inspiring those who are in need,” highlights the fundamental belief of this foundation.

Education

Cedric and Lula Mays believe that much talent is being lost in the population that is often underserved by societal institutions at the present time. They also value the belief that with proper encouragement, demonstrated moral integrity, and funding young people with dreams will set high goals and attain success in areas including business and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math).

The Mays Foundation focuses on providing educational funding via college scholarships for high school students of color attending public and private high schools in the greater Milwaukee area.
